Name Guidelines for LLCs and Corps

The name you choose for your company may have significant ramifications now as well as in the future. Several guidelines should be considered:

1. Avoid reference to your own name unless there is a distinct identification that will enhance your advertising and customer base

7. Avoid similarities of existing companies

8. Number of words used (not too long, but not too short)
• Short names may be ideal, but chances are, a short name is already in use
• Three words are often better than two to find an available name
• If the name you want is not available, consider adding another word to the name
